A WitchVox Special Feature...

Our Wonderful future... With Much to learn
21 pages of "crafted thoughts"

Modern Witchcraft, Wicca and Paganism are probably the fastest growing spiritual paths on planet Earth. These are exciting times for sure. The Internet offers the modern Witch an opportunity to become something quite special. Research indicates that the smaller religions were the first to take to the Internet and utilize it like none of the big boys can or have. Make no doubt about it, we are already a community on-line. Where we go with this "opportunity" is clearly up to us. First, we must "walk this rocky road".

The Witches' Voice HAS heard the cries building for many months related to the brush fires from around the world. A subject that no one has addressed in a big way... You guessed it...

For the last 30 days the Witches' Voice has been beta testing our coverage of this "Hot" subject. Just about all of the Witches that we talked to (about 50) said. "you've got to do this". We invited just about all the famous Witches and many non-famous Witches to participate and most were happy to give us their thoughts. The Witches' Voice always glad to feature the wisdom of anyone that cares. We made sure that we launched this coverage with a form FOR community feedback and we welcome any and all essays related to the topics discussed in our Witch Wars special feature.

Due to the popularity of "conspiracy theories" on the 'Net and in our society, we feel that it is important to make sure that TWV's "agenda" is clear. The following are some concerns that do pop up from time to time.

  • Is TWV trying to "Lead" the community? No Way!, last we checked there were no shortage of leaders in the community. We believe the most effective leaders are at the local level. The mission of TWV is one of a News and Information network. We spend countless hours gathering information FOR the community and thanks to the support of our sponsors, we offer it for FREE so that it can be used at the local level.

  • Is TWV attempting to make decisions for everyone? Sorry no, it will be the community itself that will settle on standards of behavior, Like all organizations, The Witches Voice DOES have a Code of ethics that we DO follow. We also subscribe to the "Rede" and the "Law of three". Ethics, Integrity and Accountability have never been taken lightly here at the Voice and they never will be.

  • Are Wren and Fritz telling their personal story? Great Goddess NO!, As tempting as it is to do so, Wren and I choose to be both personally and professionally neutral and we work very hard at this. Those that know us, do know that we are no strangers to Witch Wars. It is important to note that our statements in this special feature are derived from a variety of information, both locally and from around the globe. The Witches' voice has no plans to cover any specific Witch War but if they start to rage out of control, effect the community at large and become national news we may point you to WebSites that ARE covering them.

It is clear that by communicating in an "up front" fashion, many conflicts can be dealt with effectively. Like all communities, we do have our good and our bad. The Witches' Voice will never skirt the issues, we will always deal with them in a direct and fair fashion. It is our belief that the challenges that are presented to our community MUST be brought to the foreground and worked on AS a community.

The WitchVox

Essay Series

Starting Out
So Ya wanna be a Witch...
Since our inception, The Witches' Voice has been barraged with email asking the simple question... How do I become a Witch? Although it is not the mission of the Witches' Voice to actually teach WitchCraft we are proud to present this new series of documents in order to get you started. There are indeed many paths and many ways, it is our goal to give you the tools to get started and what to look out for. We will never preach or claim to "have the answer" but do know that WitchCraft is a life long quest for knowledge.

THE Occult Search Engine...

A Global directory of Witches, Events and Shops
The rewrite of this section has become very popular and over 3,000 Witches are using this section to list themselves, celebrate local Wiccan Events and to hunt down Witch Shops in their area. Individual listings now contain an optional profile, sun sign, personal WEB link and a sponsorship celebration. Every Contact that is listed on these pages is verified on a monthly basis via a WitchVox global emailing. All 110 of our state/prov pages are updated every 24 hours and are constantly being fine-tuned for accuracy... Check to see what's happening in YOUR state today!

Givers, Takers and the Pagan Web
Part II - "Look and Feel" & The Looters...

In this version of my randomly penned "Notes from the WebMaster" I would like to address two issues of grave concern; Presenting someone else's work as your own (the lameness of subtractive webweaving) and Bandwidth Stealing. Theft is never a pretty sight, but from our own "brothers and sisters" of the Craft? "So NOT it be".

A must read... Creativity and the Pagan Web a Guest Rant by Jorah.

How IS the Witches' Voice doing? Thanks to recent sponsorships we are still alive and on the net. Our current balance is on the happy side of zero (around $380.00). Do note that 100% of all sponsorship donations go directly to serving the Wiccan community via this website, through legal and financial assistance and mailings to schools and local officials. Wren, myself and the rest of the staff take zero financial compensation for the work we do here. We can only do this with YOUR support. If you enjoy this website, like what we do, believe in what we do or want to help your brothers and sisters of the craft, become a sponsor of the Witches' Voice. If you are too poor to help, we do understand, do know that even a book of stamps can help. For more info surf to our sponsorship page and find out how you can become an official Sponsor of the Witches' Voice. Thank you in advance for any help you can offer.
